Floral Treasures intoCherished Heirlooms Frequent Questions & Answers |
|
How long will it take to press my bouquet? Please allow 6-10 weeks for the entire process, this may include time needed to choose color background, frame, and design.
How fresh must my flowers be? I need to receive your bouquet within 3-5 days of your special event.
Can I ship my bouquet to you? Yes, you can Overnight Express your flowers to me. See shipping Instructions
Are Gift Certificates Available? Yes, they are! Often, bridesmaids will pull their money together to have the brides bouquet preserved. Other ideal gift ideas: Mothers or bridesmaids flowers. Also, flowers from Prom, Mother's Day, New Baby, Valentine’s Day.
Can you place other items in the picture, such as wedding invitation, photographs, or ribbons from my bouquet? As long as the item you wish to include in your picture is flat, yes, I can do this. Often I will simplify the bow to flatten it if you choose to have it in the picture.
How long can I expect my picture to last? There are many determining factors, like the freshness of the flowers when I receive them, and the conditions where the art is displayed. I have made every effort to ensure that your floral heirloom will last a lifetime, however, because these are real flowers, changes of color or fading are normal and should be expected. To slow this process, you should avoid displaying your finished piece in direct sunlight or in excessively humid conditions.
Can you press any type of flower? Different flowers require different types of presses. I use 7 different types of presses, because flowers vary, for example, some flowers bruise easily and require tender loving care, while others require a great deal of pressure. There are some flowers that I do not recommend for preservation. Print off my Recommendation List and take it with you to help when making your floral selections.
Will my pressed flowers be the same color as the fresh bouquet? You should not expect your pressed flowers to be the exact color of the fresh bouquet. For example, whites dry to ivory, reds generally becomes darker. When necessary, I use color enhancing techniques to aid in the retention of color. The freshness of the bouquet and other contributing factors, such as pesticides used in the fields and chemicals used in the flower shop to enhance the bouquet can affect the final outcome. Here is a list of recommended flowers that will help you in your selection. |
